•CURRENT CANON POINT: June 24, 2041 (late Deadline, just before leaving Maggie's house after the Florida disaster)
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: late twenties, pretty, some bleaching in her long brown hair from decontamination showers. Usually dressed for comfort rather than to impress; she'd rather wear jeans and a flannel shirt.
•DEMEANOR: Friendly, nurturing, welcoming. Team Mom type. Deliberately tries to keep a reassuring persona in public and save her moments of falling apart for those she's close to. Maggie likes physical contact and is always happy to hug or touch people she likes (despite growing up in a touch averse society.)
•ABILITIES: Does pop culture knowledge count as a special ability? She also has some theoretical firearms and self defense knowledge but isn't used to applying it.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: Maggie has Kellis-Amberlee, a filovirus that was the offspring of 2 man-made helper viruses, cures for cancer and the common cold. Though harmless in its dormant state, it makes Maggie a zombie waiting to happen. She could become a danger in the following circumstances:
-reanimation after death
-elevated viral load in the bloodstream, i.e. when suffering severe blood loss
-bites or other contact with any bodily fluids from a KA zombie
-contact with blood from anyone else with KA, zombie or not
Headshots are the best way to take her down, and her blood should be treated as a serious biohazard and carefully cleaned up with bleach. She'll be giving the infirmary several handheld blood tests from her stash.
•CABIN INFORMATION: Normal wooden farmhouse door in appearance, but it's steel-reinforced and has a blood testing panel next to it (that Maggie typically won't be using.) The interior is all comfy pre-Rising furniture, well loved wood and upholstery that would be a nightmare to disinfect. The house computer system sometimes speaks in a voice eerily like Maggie's. Her bathroom looks pre-Rising too, until you pull back a curtain and realize that wall is taken up by a state of the art shower.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Racism and homophobia will piss her off. As will belittling the sacrifices anyone on her team has made in service of the truth.
